DEFENSE ACQUISITION UNIVERSITY- MID ATLANTIC REGION

The Regional Headquarters is strategically located in the town of California, Maryland, just 7 miles from Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

The faculty and staff members of the DAU Mid-Atlantic Region focus on teaching, research, and performance support (targeted training, and partnering with agencies). Their agenda includes working with organizations within the region and staying current on major issues and needs of the Defense Acquisition workforce throughout the Department of Defense, other federal agencies, and beyond.

As your learning partner, we will be with you in the classroom, online, and in your workplace-- whenever and wherever you need DAU. All of our learning assets are meant to help you develop and manage acquisition programs, projects, and systems that continue to make our nation's warfighters the best-equipped armed forces in the world. The Defense Acquisition University is the one institution that touches nearly every member of the Defense Acquisition Workforce throughout all career stages. The university provides a full range of basic, intermediate, and advanced certification training, assignment-specific training, applied research, and continuous learning opportunities. The university also fosters professional development through mission assistance, rapid-deployment training on emerging acquisition initiatives, online knowledge-sharing tools, and continuous learning modules.

The Capital and Northeast Region campus is located at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia near Washington, D.C. This strategic location allows DAU to provide responsive support to stakeholders in the Pentagon and numerous other Defense agencies. The Capital and Northeast campus serves a DoD AT&L workforce of about 33, 000 people.
