DIGESTIVE HEALTH CENTER OF LOUISIANA

The Digestive Health Center of Louisiana (DHCLA) was founded on the principles of promoting and preserving the health of the Capitol Region with a facility and a staff dedicated to excellence in the care of gastrointestinal health and illness. Completed in 2005, this state of the art building brings Gastroenterology Associates and Louisiana Endoscopy Center together under one roof, creating the most complete and comprehensive gastroenterology health center in the state.

Louisiana Endoscopy Center is one of the largest freestanding ambulatory surgery centers in the Southeast United States. The Endoscopy Center is state-licensed and Medicare certified and features private admission suites, comfort-oriented recovery room and family waiting areas.

Imaging Center:

This centrally located center allows the physicians to obtain high-quality CAT scans, ultrasounds, and X-rays on-site. The center has established a pathway through which the physicians of Gastroenterology Associates collaborate with expert-local physicians to provide comprehensive systems for evaluation and care of patients.

Gastroenterology Associates LLC –“Gastro”– is a single specialty physician practice solely dedicated to the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders in patients 15 years of age and older. Since its establishment in 1977, Gastro has been a regional leader in the treatment of gastrointestinal and digestive disorders.

Open Access Clinic:

This clinic makes the scheduling of screening colonoscopies easier for both patients and referring physicians. Eligible patients have a pre-screening interview with a qualified nurse, and if requirements are met, are able to eliminate the pre-visit with the physician and go directly to the Louisiana Endoscopy Center on the day of the procedure. The benefit is a savings of both time and money.
