Office Hours and Autism Resource Center Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (or by appointment). York - South Central Region SERVICES: Therapeutic Recreation, Interpreting Services, Residential and Day Camps, Respite, Autism Resource Center. The Altoona Autism Resource Center and the York Autism Center opened in 2009. Both locations are set up as a drop in centers and open to any individuals, professionals and students interested in Autism information. Individuals may do research, check items out, speak with the coordinator and get questions answered.

The Center has computers for research on the most up to date information. We also offer computer programs dealing with new technology for Autism. A television with DVD/VCR player, so that you may view the video’s and DVD’s that we have. We also offer a CD player for you to listen to any music or presentations dealing with Autism. The center offers books for the community to read from the newest authors, with the latest information on Autism. We have books dealing with the Definition and Diagnosis or Autism, Education, Sensory Integration, Aspergers, Social Stories, Diets, and many other areas of Autism. We also offer many items dealing with sensory integration. Easter Seals Interpreting Services (ESIS) provides sign language interpreters for all your needs. Located in South Central Pennsylvania, Serving Central and South Central Pennsylvania for our onsite interpreters and nationwide for Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) customers. ESIS sign language interpreters are nationally certified, qualified and registered in the state of Pennsylvania. Additionally, they have passed their criminal, child abuse and FBI fingerprinting background checks. Easter Seals Recreation & Therapeutic Recreation Departments serves children and young adults with disabilities.
