For example, if we received material from a manufacturer that included oil in leaky containers causing street spills during transport, or if the oil found its way into waterways, environmental regulators could penalize both the scrap processor and the scrap generator.

Under federal and state environmental laws the liability is joint and several. Scrap metal generators must be careful about choosing a company to handle their scrap. We've started out to become a scrap metal recycling industry leader in Middle Tennessee. Fairview Recycling processes large quantities of high quality material to be quickly and easily packaged into containers for delivery. Through years of business Fairview Recycling has become well networked throughout the southeastern United States in order to serve our customers with quality recycled scrap metal at competitive prices. Our sources for scrap metal include other recycling dealers from all over the southeast United States, industrial accounts (that as a by-product produce scrap metal for recycling), manufacturing facilities, and small service businesses from the surrounding communities. We unfortunately cannot accept recyclable materials from individual consumers.
