Short profile:

Teens at Firestone Park gathered on Tuesday, August 19th and made quilts to donate to Project Linus. 14 participants and were able to complete 11 quilts that will be donated to Akron Children’s Hospital and to a local battered women’s shelter.

Detailed description:

Several of the girls attending had never used a sewing machine before and they were very proud of their creations. They were equally happy to be giving away what they had worked so hard making. One teen commented that she hoped her quilt would go to a baby girl at Children’s Hospital who really needed to feel better.
