Fish-Rite Aluminum Boat manufacturing began in 1978 as Two Guys Fabrication and a goal to build a revolutionary all- welded aluminum version of the venerable McKenzie style drift boat. Their hand-crafted boats were quickly recognized as among the finest drift boats available and their popularity among river fisherman and commercial river guides grew fast!

When Jammie Dorsey first put pen to paper designing his dream boat over 30 years ago, he embarked on a journey that would make him legendary in the fishing boat industry. His blend of quality, performance and durability set him apart. But the real crafting of a legend comes from the people who follow - those who keep it alive - and Jammie, with his son J.D., want to help you write your own legend.

By 1980, demand for their McKenzie Drifter and other boat models led to the formation of Fish-Rite Custom Aluminum Boats and, in 1988, a move to its current 20, 000 square foot manufacturing facility and showroom. Fish-Rite now produces over 20 different model lines and all are built with the level of quality, performance, durability, and comfort that's become the foundation of our success.
