Our custom burl mesquite pool tables come in two styles: Classic and Freeform. The classic style features clean lines and 100% mesquite hardwood, while the freeform style takes advantage of the unique curves found in natural burl mesquite. We use high-speed Brunswick rails for the banks, leather for the pockets and have a wide selection of felts which can be customized with the logo of your choice. Our tables feature a three piece slate with a minimum thickness of 1" and a maximum of 1.5".

In 1984, the first AbilityFirst accessible apartment complex opened its doors, in Glendale, California. Today, our housing program has grown to include 10 apartment complexes, a “family-style” adult residential facility, and a residential home for seniors. We are happy to announce that our newest apartment complex, and our first in Orange County, is now open. Recognizing the critical need for accessible, affordable housing, AbilityFirst has become a leader in building and operating residential facilities for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. This commitment reflects our mission to help children and adults with disabilities realize their full potential throughout their lives.

AbilityFirst’s Lawrence L. Frank Center in Pasadena offers programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities, such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and epilepsy. The center serves the San Gabriel Valley region of Southern California, including the communities of Pasadena, Glendale, Monrovia, Altadena, Sierra Madre, Arcadia, Rosemead, San Marino, South Pasadena, and Temple City. Established in 1968, the center is named for AbilityFirst founder and past president Lawrence L. Frank, who was a prominent resident of Pasadena. The center features two large activity rooms, a sensory room, rewards room, a computer lab, an outdoor swimming pool, two outdoor patios and an outdoor play area.

AbilityFirst’s Paul Weston Work Center in Woodland Hills offers many business services – such as secure shredding, sorting, packaging, assembly, fulfillment and mailing – while providing gainful employment to adults with developmental disabilities, such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and epilepsy. With a work force of 53 adults with disabilities, the Center provides employment services to accommodate individual needs, including on-the-job training, supervision, and assistance in acquiring appropriate workplace behavior. For those who are interested and have the skills necessary to seek employment outside the Work Center, we provide supported employment (job placement with local companies). Established in 1954 as Rancho Del Valle, the Work Center was renamed in honor of big band leader Paul Weston, a former board member and supporter of AbilityFirst.

Kids, teens and adults with mild to severe physical and developmental disabilities come to Camp Paivika in the summer and winter for horseback riding, swimming, adaptive sports, campfires and cookouts, arts and crafts, performing arts and other enjoyable, enriched activities. With a sense of freedom inspired by time spent outdoors in natural surroundings, campers learn, develop new interests and confidence through guided play, social skills building and exploration. Opportunities for socialization are built into every program and activity. Many participants come to Camp Paivika year after year, making memories and forming lasting bonds of friendship with fellow campers and staff.
