Genital herpes is a disease caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV-1). Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) usually causes oral herpes. Symptoms are commonly known as cold sores or fever blisters. Our goal is to raise public awareness and provide education about breast health and cancer, increase screening and early detection and connect people to the resources they need for dealing with breast cancer diagnosis. The Komen Orange County Affiliate provides a variety of education and community outreach programs to achieve these goals, including Speakers Bureaus, Health Fairs, and a Hat & Wig Salon.
