Roger and Peggy Vorholzer established AquaCare Pool Service in 1978 and it has grown to serve several hundred customers in the North Dallas, Richardson and Plano areas with weekly cleaning of mostly residential pools (its primary business), but also commercial pools, repairs of all types, and renovations. The couple developed AquaCare while Roger studied for a master’s degree in an unrelated field. He has been trained as a Certified Pool Operator, and has received more than 200 hours of advanced training. AquaCare has grown to employee 17 full-time and part-time employees. Most AquaCare pool-cleaning employees have worked part-time while studying for the same master’s degree Roger received. Though AquaCare was noted to be “the pool service” in a June 2000 D Magazine article about living on Beverly Drive (in Highland Park), we still remain competitive with companies and individuals who service the north Dallas and north suburban towns and areas.

The Berkeley Heights Community Pool was established in 1964 to serve the families of Berkeley Heights. We offer an olympic-size swimming pool featuring two diving boards and two slides. Our shallow end is 2.5 feet deep, perfect for our pre-schoolers learning to swim. We also have a baby pool for our youngest swimmers. In Aurora, Illinois, Waubonsie Valley High School Pool has 8 lanes of 25 yards from 4' to 11' in depth. There is a seperate shallow instructional pool 3 lanes of 20 yards from 3' to 5'. The diving area is located off of the side of the 8 lanes consisting of 2 boards in 11' depth. The entrance to the pool would be easily accessed from the southwest parking lot near Odgen Rd and the cell tower.

Tom Drewien has over forty years of diving experience and has spent nearly ten years doing underwater videography. He is certified as an open water and Nitrox diver by PADI and as a divemaster/rescue diver by NAUI. Tom has always been an observer-diver never a predator. He is always careful to create the least disturbance to the underwater worlds that he visits. Tom majored in marine biology and studied in California at Hartnell, Humboldt State and Moss Landing Marine Laboratory.
