Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance (WISTAX) is the state's oldest and most respected private government research organization. Since 1932, it has been promoting better government and an informed citizenry through its publications, public outreach and extensive school programs. WISTAX seeks to explain how state and local government work, so voters and taxpayers, students and teachers can be more active and informed citizens. By providing reliable data to members of the legislature, county boards, school boards, city councils and other government bodies, WISTAX helps them to arrive at intelligent decisions. WISTAX also provides consulting on government and tax issues to public officials, the news media and various other groups. The American Numismatic Association is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to educating and encouraging people to study and collect money and related items. With nearly 33, 000 members, the Association serves the academic community, collectors and the general public with an interest in numismatics. The ANA helps all people discover and explore the world of money through its vast array of programs including its education and outreach, museum, library, publications, conventions and seminars. Today, ANA headquarters houses the largest circulating numismatic library in the world. Books, educational slide programs and instructional videotapes are loaned to members without charge other than postage and insurance. Also on the premises is a museum that includes extensive and ever-growing collections of coins, medals, tokens and paper money. Members may study the items on display and, by prearrangement, can use other museum materials for research purposes.

The Leon County Property Appraiser’s office currently manages and certifies property values and exemptions for over 107, 000 parcels totaling close to 27 billion dollars in just value and 15 billion dollars in taxable value annually. In 1933, in the midst of the Great Depression, a group of educators boldly embraced a dream of higher education for Southwest Washington. Seventy-five years later, that dream still resonates for Clark College and the community it serves. Dedicated to the highest standards of education, Clark College was granted initial accreditation in 1937 based upon a visit by a committee of five professors from the University of Washington. In 1948, the college received accreditation from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Through periodic reviews, it has maintained that standing to this day.

The Archives is the depository for the permanent record of Gonzaga University. Spanning the entire history of the University from 1887 to the present, the University Archives document both the daily administration of Gonzaga University and special events. The Archives houses manuscripts, published material, photographs, sound recordings, film, video, and artifacts. Included are the GONZAGA UNIVERSITY CATALOGS, The GONZAGA BULLETIN (student newspaper), SPIRES (student yearbook), SPIRESIDE and SIGNUM (Alumni Newsletters), commencement programs, and other campus publications. The Unity House was founded in 1997 to meet the needs of students who felt marginalized on campus. The initiative to establish the department was motivated and led by a student leader who strongly advocated for positive change and transformation. Later renamed, Unity Multicultural Education Center (UMEC), the purpose of the center continues to support the academic and co-curricular experiences of African, Latina/o, Asian, and Native American students at Gonzaga University.
