Florida Employers for Immigration Visa Reform are working toward educating the public and Florida's congressional delegation on the negative impacts that Florida employers and workers are facing in the wake of post 9-11 visa and immigration policy. Florida's foreign visitor and business base is being eroded from unintended consequences of post 9-11 federal immigration and security policy. The result: fewer foreign tourists, investors, students, and hospital patients will visit Florida, resulting in a multi-million dollar losses in tax revenue for the state and a growing loss for Florida companies engaged in international business.

(Workforce Partnership) has been in operation since 1974, when a joint powers agreement between the City and the County of San Diego created what is now a nonprofit public benefit corporation. The Workforce Partnership funds job training programs to meet the region's demand for qualified workers. The programs benefit local employers, unemployed and recently laid-off adults, and at risk youth ages 14 to 21. In addition, the Workforce Partnership invests a lot of time and resources in studying and analyzing our local economy.

The primary task of the Office, a division of the Center for Program Planning and Results (CPPR) within the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, is to perform research on the history of the programs and policies of the Department of Labor. Research may be used by policy makers, published in the form of books or articles, presented in conference papers, or provided electronically, often appearing in more than one of these formats. The Historian also conducts oral history interviews with Departmental officials when they leave office and responds to a wide range of queries from students and professional researchers, government staff, the news media, and the general public. The Historian assists with historical exhibits and commemorations at the Department. Exhibits in which assistance is provided include the Labor Hall of Fame and the "Century of Service Honor Roll of American Labor Organizations".
