With a mission to make medications available in a timely fashion to low-income uninsured residents of Washington at no or reduced cost PDAF launched its first pilot project in Spokane under the name MTGMEDS in the fall of 2008.This assistance is free and offered through the Prescription Drug Assistance Foundation. There are hundreds of prescription assistance programs already being offered by pharmaceutical companies. We walk you through the programs to find the best option for you. MTGMEDS is helping low income families and individuals in Washington State get the medicines their doctor prescribes. Founded in 1928 by philanthropist John Emory Andrus, our family-centered organization has remained true to his vision to "give opportunity to youth." A Yonkers businessman, Mayor and Congressman, John Andrus created the original Andrus Children's Home as a memorial to his beloved wife Julia who had been adopted as a young child by the Dyckman family. She grew up on the Dyckman family farm, now the 107-acre campus housing our corporate offices, Residential Treatment Program, Diagnostic Center and Orchard School. The goal of the Military program offered by Peak Behavioral Health Services is to meet the needs of the soldier/patient, as required by their Command Program. Personal values, integrity and resiliency are promoted in all activities provided by the Peak. The 28-day program is designed for the recovery of drug and alcohol abuse. Each patient is required to attend and participate in all groups, activities, individual sessions and onsite 12-step meetings. Group sessions address substance abuse/dependency and introduce the recovery process. Positive coping skills, substance abuse education, and relapse prevention are included in group topics. Individual session of EMDR is offered to address post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Adjunctive therapies are implemented daily; these include the ROPES Course and daily exercise with a skilled trainer. These activities offer healthy support during the healing process and provide a safe environment for team building within the group.
