The Scottish Rite Foundation of Colorado provides grants to its speech-language partners to help defray the cost of speech therapy for qualified children and their families. Qualification is determined based upon need and family income. These partners are the professional care-giving organizations such as The Children’s Hospital. The Foundation pays the grants directly to the care-giving partner and not to the family. A family seeking financial assistance is required to make written application to the partnering clinic. Interested families should contact the clinic regarding the application process. Application information is held in strict confidence by the clinic which applies strict confidentiality and privacy of information requirements. The clinic director or other clinic official and a Scottish Rite appraisal committee make a determination - based on family income and need - regarding application approval and, if approved, at what dollar level.

A Yonkers businessman, Mayor and Congressman, John Andrus created the original Andrus Children's Home as a memorial to his beloved wife Julia who had been adopted as a young child by the Dyckman family. She grew up on the Dyckman family farm, now the 107-acre campus housing our corporate offices, Residential Treatment Program, Diagnostic Center and Orchard School. Mr. Andrus' belief that children should feel valued is reflected in the beauty of our grounds and the architectural details of the Tudor mansions he built specifically to be homes for children and staff. The Prescription Drug Assistance Foundation (PDAF) was established by the legislature to provide low-income, uninsured Washington State residents with prescription medicines at no or low cost. Established by the passage of SB 5558 (RCW 41.05.550) during the 2005 legislative session, PDAF began to take shape when Governor Gregoire appointed Board members in September of that year. The PDAF's board represents a diverse group of providers, pharmaceutical research companies, clinic and hospital administrators and others with experience in serving low-income families.
