The core of the Walmart operation is logistics-we get millions of products to our store shelves every day so during this process we need some of the latest environmentally-sustainable methods. The first thing we need is some distribution centers. We have 40 large Regional Distribution Centers all over the United States. These facilities operate 24 hours a day to keep the business rolling. Each of these centers supplies from 75 to 100 stores within a radius of 250 miles. We have distribution centers for certain type of products as well, such as jewelry, pharmacy, apparel, grocery, shoes, and centers serving Sam’s Club. Our truck drivers play important role in the company’s success.
