We have resently added interior staining and painting on home building projects. OPPAC is capable of staining and painting doors, jambs, windows, trim, and all other building materials. On interior materials we can custom match any stain color, even old trim that has been yellowed from the old varnish. On interior doors we mostly just spray a stock white, but can spray any color desired by the customer.

This plein air workshop will instruct students in the process of creating a landscape painting at a coastal area in Santa Cruz County. Students will receive instruction in landscape composition, value patterns, color mixing, and paint application through presentations, demonstrations, and instruction at your easel. Prior painting experience helpful. First session, Sat Oct 30, we will meet at my studio. After a brief orientation, we'll walk to a nearby location to paint. We will meet at locations to be announced on the other 3 Saturday mornings. Students work on painting principles of composition, color, value and paint application. Michele demonstrates various stages in the painting process.

Gallery Hours: Thursday through Saturday from 12 - 6:30 PM. Gallery at Avalon Island is an independent contemporary art gallery displaying works by local and International artists. A new exhibit is displayed each month with an opening reception on the Third Thursday gallery walk. Most artists' receptions are from 6 PM - 9 PM. Complimentary beer provided by City Beverages, wine and hors devours are served. Musical entertainment is provided by Joseph Martens and each event is free to the public. Adjacent to the gallery is Guinevere's, a private cafe'. A separate gallery exhibit is included in the cafe' with an opening reception each Third Thursday of the month. Hourly rental of the cafe for private events is available.
