The 18k Gold that is used in Judith Ripka jewelry is celedon or green gold, a color which is derived by a special proprietary formula created by Judith Ripka. Judith created her exclusive 18k celadon gold – using a secret alloy mixed with yellow gold – for her 18k Collection. She chose celadon gold because the look is softer and complements most skin tones. Our Sterling Silver is Rhodium plated. Rhodium is a derivative of platinum and is often used to plate Sterling Silver as well as White Gold.
