Chicago Cat Clinic was founded by the late Dr. Barbara Stein in 1975 at its current location, 5301 West Devon Avenue, on Chicago's northwest side. It lies in the beautiful Edgebrook neighborhood. Dr. Stein was a pioneering woman in veterinary medicine. She was one of only four women in her graduating class and founded what was to be the second exclusively feline veterinary practice in the United States. The Emergency Department at Glendale Adventist Medical Center is a comprehensive service that is well equipped to meet any medical crisis, large or small. Emergency staff is specially trained to respond to ambulance drivers so that care can begin before the patient reaches the Emergency Department. All of the department's physicians are Board Certified in Emergency Medicine with at least one physician on duty at all times and two present during peak hours. Glendale Adventist is an approved provider of emergency treatment for pediatric patients (EDAP).

Our Hours of Operation are: 8:00AM-5:30PM Monday-Thursday, 8:00AM-12:00PM Friday. Handprints and Footsteps was founded 1994, by four pediatric therapists (2 physical and 2 occupational therapists) that worked in schools and hospitals. After several years of working in public schools, it became apparent to the therapists that many children needed services beyond those provided in the schools. However, at the time there were no private clinics in Lincoln that were specifically focused on children and their needs. Today, three of the founding owners continue treat patients and manage Handprints and Footsteps. Currently there are four physical therapists, four occupational therapists, and two speech and language pathologists on staff. We also have two office staff, who handle billing, reception and additional responsibilities.
