We create the easiest training systems to follow Taylor Made to Work for all of our clients and their dogs. Our breedings produce the highest quality working line German Shepherd dogs found in the USA. All dogs are AKC papered and come with health guarantees. All breeding dogs are highly qualified and cleared medically to have the highest rated hips and elbows by the German SV (Governing kennel club of Germany), the OFA, or equal equivalent. We also clear all of our dogs of any possible spine issues. They have a very clear head and exceptionally balanced temperaments. All of our dogs have been titled in Schutzhund and have passed a breed suitability evaluation not only by certified judges but by myself holding a much higher standard of criteria than what is asked. Thank goodness for the humane society, SPCA, rescue organizations and hardworking, dedicated animal shelter volunteers! Without them, there is no telling how many more dogs and cats would die each year. Dog rescuers and cat rescuers scan animal shelters constantly, looking for puppies and kittens of all ages whose time at the animal shelter has almost run out due to overcrowding, and giving them a second chance before they are euthanized. They all rely on volunteers and donations to keep their efforts going. Many rescues use a network of foster families, who keep pets for adoption in their own homes while they assess their personalities and often provide any necessary training. Rescues are very careful to make sure their adoptable dogs and cats go to the right homes.

MuttShack was formed in 2005 and operated as a non-profit under the umbrella of the National Heritage Foundation until it received its independent non-profit 501(c)(3) status in 2006. Initially, MuttShack’s primary focus was shelter rescue.

We are a family-owned company that got into to the petcare business by accident. We created some prototype treats for a potential account and made the trip to “pitch” them. The account picked a handful of them and placed an order. Of course, when we went to make duplicates of the prototype, we couldn’t get it done.
