Since 1982, Woody has spent his time on rivers, chatting with any friendly passers-by at the take-out, pushing limits on creeks, creating squirt boating moves, and endlessly promoting the sport of whitewater kayaking (he has won his share of parties too). Allen started paddling in 1974 and since then has designed over 75 boats (including the renowned Dancer), proving himself to be the “Grandfather” of kayak design. Teaching Principles: Ben Hogan said in his book "The Modern Fundamentals of Golf" that "the average golfer is entirely capable of buiding a repeating swing and breaking 80"; I agree with this. Teaching and learning about the swing, putting, and the short game is as much a hobby of mine as it is a profession. I have studied Newton's laws of Motion, especially the laws of Rotation, how people can perform their best from books by Timothy Galway "The Inner Game of Tennis" and about the swing from such books as "The Search for the Perfect Swing" and "The Physics of Golf, " and about teaching golf from one of the classics on the subject written around 1920: Percy Boomer's "On Learning Golf." My swing model is the classic swings of the great players such as Sam Snead and Mickey Wright.

In the fall of 1981 after several years of dealing with the tough economic conditions of the Northeast, Arthur and Marie D’Attile along with their 19 year old son Gregg made a fateful decision to move to South Florida. Art following in his father's foot steps, being a union plumber for 25 years and constructing many schools, churches, hospitals, office buildings, and apartments, including The Worlds Fair, in and around Brooklyn, N.Y. and Marie having raised a family of two children, decided a new beginning was in order. Arrangements were made, the house was sold, the truck was loaded and on January 9, 1983 they arrived in Coral Springs, Florida. During that same year Art took and passed his Broward County Master Plumbers License and on August 15, 1983, Gregg, Arthur and Marie D’Attile formed Art Plumbing, Inc. a State of Florida corporation.
