AquaSafe Swim School is the leading Scottsdale and Gilbert Arizona swimming institution specializing in swimming instructions for children. Teaching children to be safe in and around water is our number one priority - particularly in a city where almost every house has a swimming pool. We not only have to protect our children in our own homes, but in other homes as well. In addition to teaching children to swim, we provide their parents with helpful safety information. Our swim school provides year-round swimming lessons. As with any progressively-learned skill, success does not come in two weeks or even eight weeks of lessons. Learning to swim is a life-long skill. At AquaSafe, our classes are on-going. Most of our students attend one, often two days a week, all year long.

All are deeply involved in the daily routine at the schools and oversee hiring, professional development, and curriculum implementation. The philosophy upon which Apple Montessori School is based embraces the most fundamental teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori. Our method is designed to build upon the individual skills and knowledge acquired in the pre-school and kindergarten years. By offering multi-aged classrooms rich with Montessori materials, your child will be actively engaged in their own learning process. Apple Montessori is directed by the Bailey daughters and their husbands. Mrs. Mooney, Mrs. Howarth, Mrs. Krippner, and Mrs. Lynn Morris Piccolo spend time at all of the locations making sure that our high standards for safety and academic excellence are ever present.

In February of 1843, the state of Indiana, even though nearly bankrupt, recognized its responsibility to educate its Deaf residents by levying a tax of two mills ( 1/1000 ) of each hundred dollars worth of property. Money generated from this tax was appropriated for a school for Deaf children. The state also rewarded the efforts of James McClean, a Deaf man from New York, with a payment of $200 in recognition of his attempt to establish a school in Parke County, Indiana. While his efforts lasted only a year, they served to draw the attention of the General Assembly to the need for education of Deaf children in Indiana. William Willard, a Deaf man teaching at the Ohio School for the Deaf in Columbus, traveled to Indianapolis in May 1843 and presented himself with his credentials to the General Assembly proposing the establishment of a school for Deaf children in Indiana.

The Graduate School will work with each department to resolve the final status of each student that is in a pending status. The defense and submission of officially approved theses and dissertations must occur by the deadline listed in the Graduate Bulletin. Completion of final course work is typically not known until a day or two prior to the graduation ceremony, so notification of students who are pending course work is not practical. This does not affect doctoral students, who will have completed their course work much earlier, but it does affect master's and certificate students.
