The College of Idaho is a liberal arts college with an enrollment of 1, 010 students located in Caldwell, Idaho. From 1991 until October 2007 it was known as Albertson College of Idaho. The college was conceived in 1884 when the Presbyterian Church's Wood River Presbytery, meeting in Shoshone, formed a commission to examine the possibility of establishing a Presbyterian college somewhere in the Idaho Territory. The commission found support for such a venture and in 1890 the Presbytery accepted an offer from a group of Caldwell citizens, led by William Judson Boone, to locate the institution in that community.

Concordia is a four year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Students at Concordia are inspired to change and be changed by the world. Concordia opened with 12 students, three instructors and courses in English literature, natural sciences, mathematics, and piano. Enrollment steadily increased, reaching 60 students by the end of the first semester and 200 one year later. Academic programs were quickly added as well, including religion, business, Norwegian, voice, geography and history.

Drury University began in Lebanon in 1986 by offering two courses at the Lebanon Jr. High School. With the growing interest and course offerings Drury relocated in 1996 to its present location in the Nelson Education Center. They currently offer approximately 50 courses per semester. At the Lebanon location students may receive associate degrees or take several courses toward a bachelor’s degree in many areas. At the Lebanon location students may receive associate degrees and may take several courses toward a bachelor’s degree in several areas. Additionally, they may receive help in the areas of admissions, financial aid, registration and advising.

The fall of 2007 marked the beginning of an exciting partnership for Drury University and the Southwest Area Career Center in Monett. Classes at the Drury University – Monett branch are offered in the evenings at the brand new facility located at Two David Sippy Drive, just behind Monett High School. In the fall of 1995, Drury University opened the Rolla campus with 12 classes and approximately 400 credit hours. Within four years, the campus had grown to over 50 classes per semester and approximately 2500 credit hours per semester. Due to space restrictions, the campus relocated in the fall of 1999 to its current location. A variety of general education, major requirement, and elective courses are offered each semester.

The CGCS Thayer campus serves Thayer and the surrounding communities in Missouri and Arkansas. Students can pursue numerous associate degree programs and complete their general education requirements at the Thayer campus for other degree programs.

Drury University's CGCS Cabool Campus is conveniently located in the city of Cabool on Highway 60, approximately 70 miles east of Springfield. Founded in 1990, the CGCS Cabool Campus of Drury University has grown from 50 to over 415 students. Classes are held at Drury's new facility in Cabool located at 801 Walnut Avenue.

The Drury University Ava campus serves Ava and the surrounding communities with classes held at the Ava Middle School at 709 N.E. Third Street. The campus opened in 1997 with 7 students. Today, there are over 400 students enrolled, as well as academic advising, financial aid assistance, and career counseling. The CGCS Ava campus serves students living throughout Douglas, Ozark and Wright counties. The classes are held in the evening at the Ava High School. Drury began offering classes at Ava in 1997, currently there are over 400 students working toward a variety of undergraduate degrees. Students can work on their degree while working fulltime and/or raising a family through a combination of evening and online classes. In 2009, Drury opened a new office in Ava at 1904 S. Jefferson, to better accommodate the growing number of students.

The elementary and secondary education and the master in education (M.Ed) programs are accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (N.C.A.T.E).

Durham Technical Community College is a charter member of the North Carolina Community College System. When the North Carolina General Assembly authorized a small appropriation to establish a limited number of area schools to be known as industrial education centers in 1957, Durham already had a vigorous program in adult education through the Vocational and Adult Education Department of the Durham City Schools. A Practical Nursing program had been established in 1948; other programs included training in mechanical drafting, architectural drafting, and electronics technology. In addition, literacy skills training was offered for adults. Courses to upgrade the skills of workers were also offered in a variety of trades.
