The Mission Resiliency Unit is a military-specific treatment program that is designed to meet the multiple needs related to the service member’s substance abuse and behavioral health issues. Treatment includes tracks for Active Duty Service Members and their families. The primary goal of the Mission Resiliency Program is to reintegrate service members back to their duty stations and to provide a seamless continuum of care. Chemical Dependency Rehabilitation/Dual Diagnosis: This tract is specifically designed to treat service men and women who are struggling with substance abuse issues, as well as behavioral health issues. Service members have the opportunity to develop healthy coping strategies while gaining valuable insight into their conditions, symptoms and addiction. Chemical Detoxification Service members receive close medical supervision to safely detox alcohol, opiates and prescription drugs out of their systems.

Patriot Support was born out of a great need. The strain of the battlefield has worn greatly on the bodies, minds and spirits of Warriors and their families alike. In response, we have spent the last several years expanding the locations and resources dedicated for military-specific mental health services. We have added four additional dedicated Patriot Support Centers to our extensive behavioral healthcare network this year. The Patriot Support continuum also has 17 TRICARE certified residential treatment programs designed for dependents. Finally, Patriot Support continues to expand outpatient services and other relevant programs designed to restore, revitalize and strengthen the Warrior and family resiliency. Patriot Support’s strength lies in an expansive network of facilities, physicians and service providers. We are able to serve military members and families in virtually every corner of the United States.

The goal of the Military program offered by Peak Behavioral Health Services is to meet the needs of the soldier/patient, as required by their Command Program. Personal values, integrity and resiliency are promoted in all activities provided by the Peak. The 28-day program is designed for the recovery of drug and alcohol abuse. Each patient is required to attend and participate in all groups, activities, individual sessions and onsite 12-step meetings. Group sessions address substance abuse/dependency and introduce the recovery process. Positive coping skills, substance abuse education, and relapse prevention are included in group topics. Individual session of EMDR is offered to address post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Adjunctive therapies are implemented daily; these include the ROPES Course and daily exercise with a skilled trainer. These activities offer healthy support during the healing process and provide a safe environment for team building within the group.

Poplar Springs Hospital is committed to providing a stigma-free treatment environment specifically designed to meet the needs of the active duty military. Our inpatient mental health unit provides treatment for the emotional and psychological effects of combat theater stress and post-deployment adjustment-related issues. Soldiers may step down to our partial hospitalization program to assist with transitioning back to their duty stations. Treatment program uses cognitive behavioral therapeutic approaches and guidelines from the Department of Veteran Affairs and Department of Defense for PTSD treatment.

Here is a brief history of Unistrut and our history in the industry. Invented around 1920 by Charles Attwood, the Unistrut Metal Framing System was originally referred to as the Attwood System of Frame Construction. His company, DECELECO INC. was later changed to Unistrut Corporation. The original design came from a specific need for efficiently mounting electrical components in large electrical cabinets. The key was development of the Unistrut channel and Unistrut nut. Although developed for electrical applications, Mr. Attwood envisioned using his product for almost any application requiring a structural support frame designed and built in the field.

The Sunshine Kids Foundation was founded by Rhoda Tomasco in 1982 while she was serving as a volunteer in the pediatric cancer unit of a hospital in Houston, Texas. After seeing the loneliness and depression among children during their extended hospital treatments, Rhoda had a vision to provide these young cancer patients with opportunities to participate in positive group activities which promoted self-esteem, personal accomplishment and just plain old fashioned fun! Today, that vision has been realized many times over, as thousands of children from hospitals across the country have reaped the benefits of The Sunshine Kids Foundation’s many programs and national and regional events. Funded by personal contributions, corporations and foundations, the Sunshine Kids continues, as it has since its inception, to provide all of its activities completely free of charge to the children’s families and hospitals.

This Association was established primarily to assist graduates of the School of Nursing with support in their financial need. At the time of our inception, there was no Social Security, no unions and nurses were working six and a half days a week, with time off for services on Sunday. Leisure time was almost unknown, although benefactors at Presbyterian Hospital donated their summer places for the use of nurses to enjoy either the mountains or seashore on their limited vacations. Salaries were low and, as a result, graduates who lost jobs, became ill and many had no family to assist them when they became destitute. The Association stepped into that void and created such a resource for alumni. Thanks to wise shepherding of resources over the past 117 years, those in need can be assisted through our monthly stipends as well as sick benefits.

Some of the advanced technologies used by the flight team are: cardiac monitoring, emergency medication administration and oxygen support.
