In order to ensure the people in the south-end receive the best instruction possible we, at AMG Swim School, have surveyed a number of swim lesson institutions across the US to find those schools that have the top programs. What we found both surprised and delighted us; there is a better way to teach lessons and provide a great value to our customers. We also make sure our instructors are well versed in the AMG Swim School lesson plan before they are put in charge of a class. Even people with previous instructing experience must aid with a current AMG Swim School instructor for a minimum of two months. We want to make sure our instructors are the very best they can be.

AquaSafe Swim School is the leading Scottsdale and Gilbert Arizona swimming institution specializing in swimming instructions for children. Teaching children to be safe in and around water is our number one priority - particularly in a city where almost every house has a swimming pool. We not only have to protect our children in our own homes, but in other homes as well. In addition to teaching children to swim, we provide their parents with helpful safety information. Our swim school provides year-round swimming lessons. As with any progressively-learned skill, success does not come in two weeks or even eight weeks of lessons. Learning to swim is a life-long skill. At AquaSafe, our classes are on-going. Most of our students attend one, often two days a week, all year long.

The Southern Piedmont Swim Conference held its 2010 team championships at the Huntersville Family Fitness Association facility on July 24th. Nine teams comprise the 39 year old conference based in Cabarrus County. Over 750 swimmers participated in the meet in age divisions up to 18 years of age. Awards were given for Team Sportsmanship – West Cabarrus YMCA Blue Dolphins, Age Group Champions: 8 years old and Under – Laurel Park Sharks, 9-10 year olds – Concord Swim Club Breakers, 11-12 year olds – Concord Swim Club Breakers, 13 -14 year olds – Sheffield Manor Stingrays and 15 -18 year olds – Cabarrus Country Club Green Wave. Overall scoring leader for girls was the YMCA Blue Dolphins with Concord Swim Club just 86 points behind and the boys scoring leader was the Concord Swim Club.

We are a member-owned, family recreation club located in the Lake Hills neighborhood of east Bellevue since 1958. The club was started with the generous donation of land from the housing developer and with the hard work of many residents pounding on doors to gather enough members (approximately 250 families) to finance the "club house and outdoor pool". Five years later the indoor pool was built to add to the aquatic facility. In the mid 70's adult weight rooms were included in the facility. During the 80's the fitness boom was taking place and it became apparent the club needed more fitness room. Gradually the fitness area grew to the current 2, 000 square foot facility, which was added in 1997-1998.
