Crowns can be used to attach a bridge or protect a weak tooth from breaking. Crowns are created from a wide range of materials, which impacts the wearability and longevity of the restoration. There are a variety of options when choosing a crown: Porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns & bridges These strong crowns and bridges are made by fusing porcelain to an underlying metal structure, often a nickel-based alloy. (Some patients may experience an allergic reaction due to the base metal.) Metal-free crowns Metal-free crowns, such as Empress and Lava Zirconia, provide translucency to mimic natural teeth, offer great strength and stability, and provide a natural look. Often used with dental implants as they do not create dark rings at the gum line (as is the case with metal crowns). Certain non-metal crowns can be used for both back and front teeth. Others are used for replacing front teeth only.

The Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) is a non-profit association dedicated to high standards for professionals who provide addiction counseling. Established in 1980 to provide a statewide association of addiction counselors and other persons interested in addiction, GACA is comprised of a volunteer Board of Directors elected by its membership and a volunteer Certification Board appointed by the Directors with the sole purpose of carrying out the mission of the Association. Our express concern was, and remains, the welfare of persons who are chemically dependent or abusing mood-altering chemicals in the state of Georgia.

Dr. Jeffrey Fine is a board certified gastroenterologist with 22 years of medical experience. His interest in food hypersensitivity began many years ago when he became acutely aware that many of his patients were not feeling better on a consistent basis with traditional drug therapies. Dr. Fine heard from many of his patients that certain food interactions made their symptoms worse or intolerable. So Dr. Fine began studying the correlation between the digestion of food ingredients, i.e., gluten, wheat, barley, dairy, eggs, etc. and gastrointestinal disease. After years of exploring this connection and accepting that foods can have an impact on your health, Dr. Fine discovered several laboratories that test patients for food hypersensitivities. These labs provide food antigen testing either through a variety of blood tests or stool samplings.
