The South Florida Water Polo Club, formerly known as the Ft. Lauderdale WPC, was formed in 2003 as a non-profit organization to promote the sport of water polo. Come relive a portion of our nation's history aboard the FEVR in rail cars dating from the 1920's! The Fremont & Elkhorn Valley Railroad is Nebraska's longest and largest tourist railroad. The path of this track was laid out in 1869, and until the mid-1980's served as the gateway route for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad to northern Nebraska, Wyoming and South Dakota. The route to Wyoming was known as the "Cowboy Line" and is now being converted to a trail. The railroad is owned and operated by the Nebraska Railroad Museum (formerly the Eastern Nebraska Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society). This is a non-profit, non-tax supported entity. The FEVR is run completely by a staff of dedicated volunteers.

The interfaith Homeless Network of Greater Chattanooga coordinates the efforts of over 40 area congregations and their supporters to address the large and growing problem of families without homes. IHN provides homeless families with temporary evening lodging, meals, transportation and assistance finding work, training, education, housing, counseling and supportive services.

Project Night Night donates over 25, 000 Night Night Packages each year, free of charge, to homeless children who need our childhood essentials to feel secure, cozy, ready to learn, and significant. Each Night Night Package contains a new security blanket, an age-appropriate children's book, and a stuffed animal -- all nestled inside of a new canvas tote bag. By providing objects of reliable comfort, Project Night Night reduces trauma and advances the emotional and cognitive well-being of the children we serve. Every child who receives one of our Night Night Packages leaves the shelter owning a book which encourages reading and family bonding, a security blanket which can be cuddled, and a stuffed animal which can become a cherished friend. We have one objective – to deliver our Night Night Packages to every homeless child in the country who needs one.

The Arts Council enriches the quality of life for people in Winston-Salem and neighboring communities by raising funds for the arts, advocating for the arts, sponsoring events in conjunction with other arts organizations, providing educational opportunities strengthening cultural resources, developing social capital, and aiding economic development. The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County was established in 1949 and was the first locally established arts council in the United States. Now there are more than 4, 000. Since 1977, Literacy New York (LNY) has been a leading advocate for adult literacy in New York State and nationally. Literacy New York provides technical, program, and training assistance and workshops to a network of 36 local, community-based affiliates who annually provide over 400, 000 hours of reading and basic skills instruction to adult learners. Literacy New York works with students at the very lowest literacy levels. Last year, 5, 380 volunteer tutors provided Basic Literacy and English for Speakers of Other languages (English Language Learning) tutoring to 6, 251 learners.

The Thanks Company is a small business located in Cherryville, North Carolina, about 40 miles west of Charlotte. Thanks started about 10 years ago when a friend who was the director of the local Abuse Prevention Council couldn't find appropriate thank-you cards for her volunteers. We decided that there might be other agencies with the same problem, and perhaps there was a need we could fill.
