Nonviolence is a method, philosophy, and strategy for resisting injustice and humiliation, resolving and transforming conflict, and bringing about social change without killing or harming people. Although many people believe that war and violence are an inevitable part of our natural biology, this is not the case. Mercy Centre is a shelter for street kids, four orphanages, a hospice, a home for mothers and children with HIV/AIDS, a 400-pupil kindergarten, a community meeting place, and a serene haven in the slums with small gardens and playgrounds. Originally built on a former Buddhist Temple site on port authority property, Mercy Centre has stood in some shape or form for 30 years. In 2000, it was rebuilt through a generous gift to accommodate our expanding services to orphans, street children, and children with HIV/AIDS.

The purpose of the Office for Divine Worship is to serve as a central location for addressing the liturgical needs of the diocesan family. Our efforts are devoted to offering canonical, historical, theological and pastoral guidance in the celebration of the Church’s liturgical rites. We do this by providing consultation and input to parishes on liturgical matters, workshops, courses and liturgical publications. Also, the office provides liturgical assistance to the Bishop of Worcester in his role as chief liturgist, and is responsible for carrying out the implementation of episcopal directives and the liturgical directives that come from the Holy See. The office oversees the liturgical aspects of church renovation and building in the diocese, and the director sits as part of the Diocesan Building Commission.

We specialize in fiber optics video systems for television broadcast production. Our founders are pioneers in the fiber optic industry, having created many of the industry's "firsts" since 1974, including the first commercial single mode fiber and cable. They supplied systems for the first fiber optic network broadcast in 1980, and they have worked to perfect the equipment for fiber TV production for the last twenty years. Telecast was formed in 1991 to develop products specifically for TV broadcast production, without compromise. Our systems are now used worldwide by the most prominent networks and stations, and they are used in the highest profile events.
